Like other pets, cats also feel the stress of the move. That is why you need to make your pet cat feel more comfortable during the move. With a new environment starting in the vehicle and to your new home, the cat needs familiar things to comfort him.
The first thing you should not forget to bring is the bed of your pet cat. At least, while everything your cat sees is unfamiliar he would have a space where he would feel comfortable and safe in. Your pet cat can curl up in this spot and feel safer and calmer instead of feeling panic while moving.
If you are going to take a long drive, a litter box is most important as your pet cat is bound to discharge waste. You can bring whatever you had at home. You can also get a new one. Anyway, cats are smart enough to figure out where the litter box is.
Food, of course, is important for the cat not to get hungry along the way. Water is important as well to hydrate your cat along the drive. This would also keep your cat healthy during the travel.
To make your cat even more comfortable and at ease with the move, bringing some favorite toys with him would be useful too.
