Before the actual moving day, it is best that you go and visit your veterinarian.  Check out with your veterinarian how you can make the long travel can affect the behavior of the pet and how you can best handle the situation.   You can also ask for some food or medicines that you can give your pets should stressing moment arise during the long travel. Check out with your moving company if they have specialized crates for animals during the travel.  The crates should be very spacious and comfortable so that pets will not get stressed.  If the moving company does not have this specialized crate, then you have to improvise one for your pets.  Prepare the food of your pets a few hours before the actual moving out.  Just like humans, pets also get stressed and throw tantrums when they have vacuum stomach.  So, make sure that you have all the pet food prepared.
