It's only natural to feel excited about moving into a new neighborhood. But this is no excuse to cram your stuff on their way to the boxes. You need to have an organized packing technique so you can speed up the unpacking process and begin touring your new neighborhood. Here are some trips and tricks you can follow:
Keep Packing Supplies Handy
Cushions - Breakables need sufficient cushion to prevent damages. Gather enough bubble wrap, packing paper and newsprint for extra support.
Packing Tape - Crossing the flaps to seal boxes is an old and ineffective technique. Strengthen the body and seams of your boxes by sealing it with sturdy packing tape.
Scissors - A pair of scissors can save you tons of time cutting paper and bubble wrap.
Marker - It is always smart to label contents of a box and the room that it belongs to. By marking the boxes correctly, you can spend less time unpacking them.
How to Pack Moving Boxes
Pack one room at a time so you can pull out similar items together and save time in arranging them. Remember to start with the heavy items, going lighter as you reach the top. Be sure not to overload the box to prevent injuries.
Packing for a move can be time consuming. But the unpacking process does not have to be as lengthy. How you pack will have a huge impact on how easy the unpacking can be. By packing systematically, you can make unpacking faster and you will be able to go out and tour your new city.
