Over the years people tend to accumulate tons of stuff that when you look at closely, end up unnecessary and unused. This results in a lot of clutter in your home, and everyone can always use some extra space. Also, having useless stuff pile up - whether functional or not - is simply a waste of space and resources, especially when you can divert them into more productive efforts. For one, you should go around your house and determine which things can be discarded. You need to be very pragmatic and practical here, leaving only the essentials and a few things that have priceless sentimental value to you. This way, you also discover which things you use need to be replaced. One of the ways you can productively dispose of your unused and unwanted stuff is to put them up for sale in a garage sale. As the saying goes, "someone else's trash can be someone else's treasure". You can also consider donating the leftovers to a charity and have the rest recycled. Having a spacious and clean house can really be refreshing and invigorating, and on a more practical side, eliminates places where rats, cockroaches, and other harmful pests can nest.
