If there is one thing that makes moving a hard process for everyone, it can be the overwhelming number of items that must be taken with them. If only you can make a way to lessen all the things that must be moved, the whole moving idea will be a lot different.
Hence, stop being a pack rat already. There is no more point to collect things and bring them to your new residence that will not only be used. Throw these items away or if they are still in good condition, you can donate them to someone needy of such things.
To help you with this, before your moving date, make an effort to gather the whole family and tell each member to let go of all the things they are no longer using. This can include old clothes, toys, bills, receipts, furniture, and the like. Start doing this in the bedrooms then down to the garage.
The bottom line here is that everyone wishes to have a smooth moving experience. However, if no one will open the idea of limiting what can be brought to the new place, nothing will be changing. The more things you can set free, the better your moving experience will be.
